My 40th birthday trip to San Diego - 12/03/2005

Point Loma, lookout point - notice the city of San Diego in the back left, and to the right off the picture is Tijuana.  The cluster of hotels slightly to the right of me is Coronado Island.  I happened to have good timing, there was a sailboat race while I was up here.

This is a Dragon Tree, apparently it's unique because it will only grow in certain climates.  Also the movie "Some Like it Hot" starring Marilyn Monroe was filmed right on this spot.  Unfortunately she was not around during my photo session.
